Studying for the Fall

Okay, so I'm warning anyone who's reading this blog - things are going to get VERY boring over here. I have an actuarial exam on November 4, and I've decided that I'm going to document my readings on this blog so that I can keep track of my progress and keep myself accountable (I mean, it's not like I was using this space to maintain updates on the goings on here - we've already established that I'm extremely bad at that).

Today is Day 1 of studying. 171 study days until the exam - 2,131 pages of reading. The exam is the Group & Health Design & Pricing Fellowship exam. I'm starting early because I have two little girls that keep me very busy and so I need the extra time. Plus, with the summer and traveling, the number of days that I am "ahead" will slowly decrease.

Tonight I will be reading the first half of Handbook of Employee Benefits, Chapter 6.

Wish me luck (before you decide you will no longer read this blog).
